Up for auction is a beautiful 1978 VW 7 passenger Bus.This van started out brand new in Santa Clara,California on July30 1978.(Its in the original warranty book) It has 148K original miles, and comes with service records dating back to 1996. It was taken to Portland Or. in 2006 by the3rd owner (the person I bought it from and was garaged kept) I flew upthere anddrove it back down here to Arizona (with no problems at all) The van has been repainted, and comes with a rebuilt motor with 32,000 miles on it, and runs and drives great. It has a manual retractable sunroof for the sunny days of summer. It has no rust what so ever, except a little in the battery tray area,that could stand to be replaced someday, but it is something that could be done later down the road. The brakes on the front are new, and the rears are at 70%. All the lights work, and the all the glass isgood, and the windows roll up and down like they should.The interior is in great shape, with just new panels added to the front doors. The headliner has seen better days, but still looks ok. It has wheel covers on it now, but the original hub cabs come with it in case someone wants the stock look. The tires are about 60%, and should last another year or two depending on how much it is driven. It comes with a good spare tire, and the orginal jack as well.
