1966 Classic Bug. Original 1300 engine with less than 30k on new bearings, original 6 volt system everything works!! lights, horn, wipers, flashers... Recent work includes fresh tune-up and oil, new shifter bushing, new heater cables, new generator, regulator, battery, axle boots and more. Receipts going back to 1995.
Bug originally purchased in Salinas Ca from the local dealership, Ghent VW. I am the third owner. The original family owned the bug till 2001, when a client of mine purchased it from the daughter of the original owner. The story goes, grandma bought the bug new and drove it till her grandson went to collage, she gave him the car for collage. After he graduated he gave the car back, the grandma had died and the mom did not want to drive a stick. She thought she need to register the bug in her name to sell, so she turned in the black plates and was issued a new title and plates.
Immaculate inside and out. Very well maintained and loved. Original owner's manual, Clean title---always garaged. Drives, shifts and stops like new. The last owner installed the new chrome wheels and tires, otherwise all original!!
This is a great investment and super fun to drive.
This is a Numbers Matching Car!!

Engine is original to bug as well as transmission. The proof is in the original owners manual which has the engine and body numbers inside the cover. Both match.

In my opinion this vwhas under 51k on the entire car, the speedometersays50455. This has come to my attention as I have looked over all therecordsfrom thedealership andother service records. However there is a 27 year gap between the dealership records which end in 68 and when it's next servive records begin in 95.

The two rear fenders are not original. They were probable replacedin the 80's when it was painted, not sure why..? The rear apron is clean and straight as well as the front. Some surface rust behind the spare tire/brake fluid resivor area due to over filling and spillage.
