Description:

1972 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

1972 VW Beetle. 32,000 miles on odometer appears to be correct based on overall condition. The car had the original brakes (with 1/8" + material on the shoes), original clutch, shocks, etc - all in good, low mileage condition. True North Carolina, two-owner survivor until I brought it to Ohio in 2013. Paint and body are completely original. Floor pans are in great shape except for a few small pinholes near the pedals. Floor pans were cleaned, prepped and coated with POR15. Heater channels and battery tray are incredibly solid and rust free. Original 1600 dual port engine runs great and 4-speed trans shifts like it should. Updates include: New drop spindles and ball joints, 4" narrowed beam, front air ride (Viair compressor/Monroe air shocks/2.5 gal tank/airlift gauge and manual switches), new brake lines/master cylinder/wheel cylinders/shoes/German drums/wheel bearings, new tie rods, new 4" front/6" rear wheels, new tires, fresh gaskets on engine, rebuilt original carburetor, new clutch, new battery, new gas tank and sender, new muffler and tailpipes. Has been driven approximately 600 miles since updates were done. Suspension could easily be returned stock as the body was untouched and nothing was cut up. Additional photos available upon request. If you want photos of specific items, just ask. I will ship in the Continental USA at your expense. $500 due at close of auction, balance due within 3 days from close of auction. Please do not bid unless you plan to buy.
