This 1974 Karmann Ghia is the last year for this model. It is a wonderful daily driver and has always been a California car. There is no rust. The car has recently seen a mechanic and there are no problems. The rear brakes and drums were replaced within the last few months. The car had oil changed every 3,000 miles. Shocks are good. Although it has 195000 miles on the odometer, he engine was rebuilt at 148000 miles, o the engine only has 47000 miles on it. The rebuilt engine is the original 1584 cc dual port unit that was in the car since it was new. This car has only had 2 owners and the current owner bought it in 1978.
The interior is completely original, ind of rough but the dash is in perfect shape, o cracks. Ok shape behind the open dash as well. Everything works including the vintage cassette player. The paint is in pretty good shape some road rash on the front and there is only one small dent on the rear quarter panel that came from a shopping cart. The bumpers, hrome and all lights are in perfect condition. The car has the original manuals, ack and even the original spare. This car is a bargain as the parts are worth more than the asking price. This car would make a perfect restoration candidate, repaint and new interior would have this car looking as new again.
