1963 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

This is a very reliable, un car. I have owned it a few years and driven it several thousand miles. It has been to many car shows and big cruises in Michigan including the Woodward Dream Cruise and Detroit Autorama and is always very popular and has been picked as people choice and won other awards. I do not consider it a show car but it is always an attention grabber. The body is covered in what is left of the original paint and customized by mother nature. It is real rust and patina but has been clear coated and is quite shiny. Its fun to stand nearby the car and listen to others debate weather its real or painted on patina. The body is very solid but does have some small holes. The pan is solid and all the glass is good however the opening safari windshield has a small crack in the lower left corner . It also has rear pop out windows. The drivetrain and brakes were gone through by the previous owner and its runs and stops great. The headlights are HID's. Rear tailight lenses are new and the rear stop light is functional. It has a Bombproof adjustable, arrowed front beam and dropped spindles. Rear springplates are stock notched pieces. The car can be raised but I prefer driving it slammed. The engine is a stock 1500, onverted to 12 volt and has an alternator. The engine makes a noise that sounds like a loose rocker arm. The rockers have been adjusted and the engine inspected by a professional VW mechanic and we think its crank end play. It has made the noise from the time I bought the car and not gotten any better or worse. Again I have driven this car a few thousand miles with no trouble or failures. Its a great car and I really like it but its time for someone else to enjoy it. The swamp cooler is NOT included with this car. Please feel free to ask questions . Thank you.
