1978 Triumph TR7

Originally from California this Carmine Red Triumph spent a good portion of it's rust free life. It then spent many years in a museum thus the very low 33K original miles. The car was built to resemble the rally championship winning car of the late Tony Pond. Thousands of dollars were spent on this car getting to this point and the list is very long so some things will be missed. Some of it features include the following:
Rover 3.5L bores .20 over, fully balanced, 10.5 compression pistons, Erson camshaft with 504 lift, adv. dur 296 @.050 220 and LC 109. Cloyes double timing chain, heads fully ported, heavy duty valve springs, high flow valves, intake 41.4mm, exhaust 35.5mm. Holley 600 CFM with Spectre air intake plenum. Dyon'd at 260HP @ 6600 rpm.
High torque strater motor, ceramic coated 4-2-1 headers with 3" big bore stainless steel exhaust. Powdered coated uprated front and rear sway bars, fully poly bushed steering components throughout including bulkhead steering column.
Centre Force heavy duty cluth and lightened flywheel (approx. 11lbs lighter than stock). 5Spd gearbox with new metal oil pump fitted with TR8 style short shift gear extension with poly bushing. New heavy duty drive shaft and heavy duty wheel bearings all around.
New uprated and lowered suspension, Spax fully adjustable shocks on all four corners. Adjustable front struts, powdered coated and fitted with bearings on the strut towers for improved steering. Front brakes are 320mm hi spec big brake kit with 4 pot dual piston calipers. Brand new master and slave cylinders. Rover SD1 brake servo. BF Goodrich stainless steel brake lines to wheels.
Rear diff includes 3:42 crown and pinion with Quaife LSD. Rear trailing arms fully boxed and powdered coated. Custom hand mand 73L aluminum fuel tank with internal swirl pot that is F! race approved including sump drain and fuel tap in fuel line.
Electric fuel pump switched wired into the original A/C switch for on/off function. Rally style battery cut off switch under dash. Double fuel filters. Bespoke 3pc Billet aluminum wheels custom made for the car with large radiator for cooling purposed. Thermostatically controlled puller fan with manual overide underdash switch. Baffled oil catch can. Tr8 style trunk battery box with maintainer.
Original seat fabric removed, foam replaced and original fabric re-installed. New lambs wool carpet. Bulbs replaced with LED throughout the car. Fully functioning rally lights wired into the factory fog light switch. Custom made covers embroidered emblems (NOT decals) to resemble the original. Rally style trailer hold down hooks front and back. Bumpers replaced with Euro style bumpers.
Car was painted in 2021 with two-stage base coat clear, zero rust repair needed. Single stage original paint was merely faded. This car was built to drive and enjoy. Handles like it's on rails, for an all round sports car you can't get much better.https://studio.youtube.com/video/wMHUTOtz1k0/edit
