1980 Triumph TR7/8: this is auto is definitely one of a kind and a tremendous investment that will put a smile on your face just parked and more so when driving. The workmanship of all of the updates/modifications are well done . The custom purple pearl paint is easily matched for touch up, if need and paint does come with the car. If completed today at a competent paint shop, it would cost well over $15,000 ! The following description will describe the exterior, interior and then the drivetrain changes.
Exterior:The entire body was stripped and completely painted so that all undersurfaces, door jambs, under hood areas are all matching . The clear coat shines very nicely and does contain some small areas from normal use that may have been chipped, etc. and touched up. In general this is a potential show winner. The front and rear bumpers were replaced by aftermarket versions that remove the unsightly factory bumpers with those resembling the Ferrari F355. The grill is handformed; the front splitter and rear splitters have been added . Side ground effects are avaible w/sale if wanted. The top was originally purple; changed to black. The tonneau cover is tan matching the interior color.The wheels are special order "COMPOMOTIVE" 7x15 with 4 Kumho fairly new tires. This ca, top and botto, has no signs of any rust....very clean and well presented.
Interior:The interior has a SONY aftermarket radio, cassette, and does have a working "BLUETOOTH" function as well as a speaker installed for no hands cell . The oil pressure and the battery gauges are relocated in the center of the dash; The electrical system has been rewired and a new fuse box relocated in the glove box. The passenger seat back support was rebuilt to adjust much better . It is believed that the seats are the originals and are in nearly perfect condition( highly sought after by TR ). The entire interior including the carpeting was detailed with steam shampoo and disinfection agents. Las, the shifting was altered to b, in Ferrari style, a gated short shifter making this car a blast to drive! It is complete, by hand, in aluminu, welded and the shift pattern made to exacting standards. Books, manuals are stored in the glove box. The air conditioning components are there in dash but the AC has not been installed in the engine bay. The steering wheel was refurbished and looks very good. The trunk houses the upscale sound system and a new battery/cover
Mechanicals ( engine, suspension, etc.):The clutch slave cylinder is new as well as the lines supporting it. The brake proportioning valve was replaced as well as the brakes bled and fresh fluid . MSD ignition and new performance spark plug wires have been added. Dual cooling fans, new antifreeze . A special cold air performance dual intake system has been added. Th exhaust headers are wrapped in black with SS holding clamps. The exhaust is dual with custom pipin, HUSHPOWER mufflers, and custom relocation through the rear bumper. SPAX shacks, new coils added. The 5 speed trans has had a fluid change, new clutch cylinder and the handformed GATED mechanism added for more one of a kind distingue.The auto is sold as is where is with no implied warranties of any kind.
For some reason the pictures of the gates gear shift were not posted . They will be shortly after contacting e-Bay. (POSTED 6/22)

Items that should be known : the key is operable in the ignition as it should b, but at times is not easy on first try to release. The car has no observed leaks of any kind. The automatic antenna for the radio operates the radio but does not go up /down with the turn of the key. The car is 43 years old........please consider that in your purchase.
