1955 TR2 TRIUMPH - BRITISH CLASSICThere were only 8636 TR-2s made in England. This one is #7098. If you read the TR-2 message boards, it is believed that about 1800 remain in the United States. Here is your chance!!!
Where to start?? I purchased this GREAT car in the early 70s. Engine Overhauled by Caseys Sports Cars in approx. 1974. Bodywork done in 1975. Had a BLAST with it!!! Previous owner re-did the interior with string instead of nylon. Interior will need to be re-done/replaced. I was going to completely restore the car and got as far as stripping it down (body & paint). All pieces are there, but the body is now coated in aircraft primer. See Photos!! First 2 photos were taken around 2000. Needs some minor body work & interior. Engine couldn't have more than 1,000 miles on it since Casey's overhauled it. It's been sitting in my garage for the better part of 2 decades without being started. It has no covers(tops) and the side-curtains are in poor condition, but I believe the side-curtain frames are good. The windshield is cracked and will need to be replaced. It is NOT drivable in its current condition. Mileage is 81,783 which I believe to be original miles. 4-Speed Transmission Knock-Off Wheels Spoke Rims Title is clean and clear! Yes, it's going to take some work but "OH" what you'll have when you've complete!!!
