Vehicle Details

1974 Triumph Spitfire. Father-Son journey that has come to an end.  This car has a new engine (machined at a reputable shop with new pistons, cam, sleeves, etc.), new front and rear suspension (including leaf-springs and rear hub assemblies), new brakes, rebuilt limited-slip differential at reputable shop (EXTREMELY RARE, told that it's worth more than the car), new tires 6,000 miles ago, radiator was rebuilt at a shop, new clutch, updated interior.  No body work was done since this was a first car for a teen who I had figured would ding it up (but he didn't).  There is a gash on the driver's door that was from the previous owner.  The floor pans have been patched by the previous owner and are water tight. The convertible top is serviceable but will need a new one soon.  No smoke, no overheating, runs like a top. It does has a couple of minor opportunities for the next curator: horn needs sorted, recommend new syncros in the gearbox, tach cable needs replaced, fuel sender unit needs replaced. The exhaust is sufficient and does the job but could be upgraded.  The paint was done by the previous owner (no longer living from what I understand) and it's 1988 Toyota Celica Red. There are signs of rust bubbles on the wheel arches (as with all unrestored British cars). Good weekend driver or with a little more, a great daily! (This car was driven nearly daily for 2 years to school and back). As-Is, Where-Is, no warrantee.
