Triumph TR8 project car for sale needsrestoration.

I didn't do it, don't blame me I would never cutup one of these classics...I almost didn't buy it, I was so sad to see it likethis. I figured I could fix it. I have done 3 frame off, rotisserierestorations and currently have 2 of them. A 69 Chevelle LS poweredconvertible pro touring type car and a 55 Belair done the same way, (neither one is for sale) I dideverything but the rust repair and paint work on both. This TR8 has norust except minor surface rust you can see on the edges of the areas where theycut the fenders. The bottom of the car has no rust, so its a greatstart. I could finish it but I am just out of room and time as I am stillfinishing one and I am in the middle of an old Ford Mustang restoration that istaking longer than I thought. This one has to go. It has been in storage under a waterproof car cover for a year.

I always wanted one of these TR8's. Theprevious owner tried to make it a rally car or who knows what. shameful Iknow...

It will need front fenders, rear partial or full quarters andbumpers. If you have a TR7 it will all transfer over and be worth waymore that any TR7 will ever be worth. I drove it into the storage spot, Iremoved the re-jetted Edelbrock carb, (comes with) but it ran fine, shifted into all gearsand stopped too. It has no fuel tank now as I removed the stupid raised tankthey set up in back. They also cut out the spare tire well for ground clearance. It has an Offenhauser 4bbl intake, headers and astock distributor. Interior is a mess, seats are there, I have the regulators but no sideglass. Top frame too but it needs work. New tires on stock TR8wheels.

It will be sold on Lein sale paperwork fromCalifornia I paid all back fees it just needs the CHP vin verification . I will sign a bill of sale also. Has the correct TR8 VIN plate and vin numbers. This is the real deal, not a fake.

I will not ship this unless you or your agentcomes to see it in person and pays in full then makes all arrangements.

Bring your trailer it does not drive presentlyand is not smog or street legal in CA. Selling as is where is.

Car is for sale locally and I reserve the rightto sell to others unless a deposit or reserve is met. I'm not asking alot for this car, basically just for the price of the engine, trans andsuspension, you could even convert your pristine TR7 easily enough. Mygoal is to see it restored our used as it should be.
