Vehicle Details1962 Triumph TR4. Runs great, starts right up. Drives good too. Many new parts. New clutch, new starter solenoid, new radiator, etc. According to the Heritage Certificate for this car the commission number, body number and engine are all correct. Also per the Heritage Certificate, the original paint was Black, the interior was Red Leather and occasional back seat, it had a White Surrey Top (Top not included), Heater, Michelin X radial tires, Overdrive, and 48 Spoke Wire Wheels.
This is a very early (CT9571LO) Solid rear axle TR4. Not IRS.
The overdrive has been replaced at some point with a TR6 transmission which was rebuilt.
The early TR4’s had seats similar to the TR3A’s.
The floors, rocker panels and trunk have some rust. It really should undergo a complete restoration and it would be a stunning car when redone in the factory colors.
All major components are there with the exception of the Top and the back seat.
With minor repairs to the floors it could be driven as it is.
Please refer to the pictures as they show the areas that have rust. The frame is in really good shape. I didn’t see anything but normal surface rust.
