Description:

1975 Triumph TR-6 1975 TRIUMPH TR-6. 4-SPEED WITH OVERDRIVE, CHROME WIRE WHEELS.

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very well restored late production TR-6 finished in it's original rare color of Java Green with black trim. This car was recently purchased from it's older owner in Utah where it was very nicely restored some years back and shown in the Triumph club circuit there. The cosmetics on this car are quite exceptional and the car still presents very well today. The bodywork and paint on this car are excellent- well above the original factory finish for a standard car. Panel gapping is very good, per factory. The body is extremely straight wearing high gloss show quality paintwork, one of the best paint jobs we have seen recently on a TR-6. Brightwork, lights, lenses, bumper chrome all look like very good factory originals that came with the car. The car's windshield is newer as well as it's sealing gasket and insert strip. There is a slight outward ding on the RH wheelarch that was existing or might have occurred in shipping, but easily repairable. The car's interior shows the same story here. It's quality restored/renewed with Roadster Factory materials including new and correct OEM Ambla seat kits, rubber diaphragms, foam, thick cut pile black quality carpet kit, panel kit, completely renewed dashboard including top pad, wood dash facia, crash pads, switch plinth. The soft top is as new, fits well, and is the correct OEM type with reflectorized edging. The car still retains it's factory original top boot and tonneau cover in super condition. The interior trim is really lovely overall and doesn't need anything.Mechanically, the car is very good to excellent. It's been in storage a few years and could benefit from a simple service, tune-up. The car is fitted with a heavy duty, attractive set of chrome wire wheels with winged knock-offs wrapped in quality newer radial tires. The car feels good overall with a very healthy and strong engine, very good gearbox, brakes, suspension, steering. The car drives well. The overdrive unit most likely needs some simple electrical work and isn't currently operating.Overall, an exceptionally nice TR-6 in rare factory colors, with the added bonus of Overdrive. This car has been lovingly owned and properly restored to high cosmetic standards, and is a good buy going forward.
