Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this rare production, one-year-only Triumph TR250 Convertible. This car was produced in limited numbers, approximately 8500 units, for 1967-68 only as a stop-gap model between the TR4A and the new TR-6. It combined the beautiful body of the TR4A with the new 6-cylinder engine destined for the TR6. This restoration car was recently purchased from it's owner in Georgia who had plans to eventually restore/improve it.The body on this car is very straight with no accidents, and showing only some minimal typical rust. The panel gapping is very good all the way around. The doors fit great. The grille is excellent. The car was originally green but was painted once in it's current shade of primrose yellow.The car's interior needs restoring but it includes all of the important and correct items pertaining to this car, such as correct seats, instruments, top frame, etc.The engine bay is very original and untouched. It retains the car's original VIN plate with paint and trim code, the original body tag. The car's engine is a correct TR250 with a "CC" prefix. The engine is currently stuck from sitting in storage but may free up with some penetrant oil and soaking.The car's underchassis has surface rust but is very solid and straight throughout with a only a few noted repairs needed.Overall, a rare, original, and complete TR250 in great original colors. These cars are becoming very desirable, especially in Europe, and this car presented for sale here is a scarce and worthwhile opportunity.
