1965 Triumph TR4 60-SPOKE WIRE WHEELS

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this nice running and driving, solid TR-4 Convertible. This car was just purchased from it's long term Los Angeles owner who purchased the car about 20 years ago. Being an ex-Jaguar technician, he sorted the car out mechanically so it starts, runs, drives, and stops without any problems.The body on this car appears super solid and completely rustfree with no rust noted anywhere. It's believed to have lived here in LA all of it's life. The body has it's mild share of a few dings and dents. Paintwork is old and faded, and a bit scabby from being in the hot California sun. The doors could use some fine tuning to close all the way properly. Early on in the car's life, it received a replacement front clip from a white car, a very good job, as the joint line is barely detectable. Gapping looks great.The car's underside looks fine for the car's age. It's greasy up front, but the rest of the chassis/floors look fantastic with no rust. This car is super solid. There's some light damage under the RH rocker, an easy fix.The car's interior trim is actually quite nice, if the full dashboard and carpets were renewed. The seats look great and give good support. Door panels and rear trim surrounds/quarter panels are very nice. The windshield is good as well as the existing soft top, which has had newer plastic windows installed and fits well.The car's correctly sequenced engine starts instantly on the key and revs great with good oil pressure, no smoke- all the signs of a healthy engine. The gearbox is great, clutch and brakes operate fine, and the car drives very nicely down the road (please see video).Overall, a very good California Triumph TR-4 that can be driven and enjoyed right away, while taking time to improve the exterior and partial interior cosmetics.
