Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1972 Triumph TR6 which is beautiful restored condition and priced to sell. This TR6 is a 3 owner car with the original owner having the car for over 35 years. This TR6 has been nicely restored in its factory colors and is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner. This TR6 appears fresh and shows very well. This TR6 features nice Pimento Red paint, a terrific restored interior, a nicely running 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed transmission which are believed to be original to the car, and a host of original dealer documents. The original bill of sale, finance document, owners manual, ID Plate, Service Passport, Maintenance booklet, and several other original documents come with this TR6. This TR6 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Pimento Red exterior over Black interior. This is arguably the most sought after factory color scheme available and is factory correct as indicated on the commission plate pictured above.
Exterior
The Pimento Red exterior is in really nice restored condition. This TR6 was painted about 2 years ago and still looks fresh in its base coat clear coat finish. The engine bay has the same level of paint as the exterior. The paint is in good overall condition throughout and has a good shine and gloss. There is no visible evidence of rust anywhere on this car. The body shows no rust at all and no bubbling or cracked paint. The underside of this TR6 shows no visible rust or repairs and is honest and in great original shape. A new bumper was fitted on the front and looks like new and the rear bumper is original and in good overall condition. The tires have nearly full tread left and are sized 205/70/15 and the wheels are nicely restored originals. The convertible top is in good overall condition and the top cover is original and in great shape. The is a small repair in the top to the left top passenger window. All weather stripping and seals are in like new condition and most have been replaced. Trunk is very solid and clean with a new trunk mat, original spare tire, and original jack tools. Both doors have "Triplex" original glass and both are in excellent shape and the windshield has been replaced.
Interior
The Black interior of this TR6 is in excellent restored condition. The seat covers are in excellent condition with no major wear, rips, seam splits and were recently replaced. Seat foam was also replaced and the seats are very comfortable. These seats were professionally rebuilt and fitted with new covers. The black carpet is new as well and in excellent condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The door panels were replaced as well and are in like new condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The dash is in great overall condition with no cracks or fading and the wood dash surround is in great condition as well. The dash pad was just replaced and in new condition. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should. The horn works intermittently and the tach makes a little noise. This TR6 has an Retro Sound upgraded digital original style stereo which works excellently and sounds great. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This TR6 is in excellent mechanical condition and it runs and drives very well. It pulls strong and is real responsive for a TR6. It rides tight and has no known rattles and is a pleasure to drive. The engine and transmission are believed to be original to the car. This TR6 is a 3 owner car with the original owner had it for over 35 years and it spent many years with her over seas. We have included several period maps from her travels in the glove box and a photo of the maps is in the gallery. We have driven this TR6 numerous times around town and on the highway and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides tight, and is a true joy to drive. Previous owners of this fantastic TR6 have kept meticulous care of this car and the way it runs and drives is a testament to that. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs very well. This TR6 is an excellent driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. The brakes have been recently serviced and do not pull and stop as they should. The rotors, calipers, brake lines, and hoses have been replaced as seen in the photos. The exhaust system looks factory and sounds great at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is meticulously clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. A new hydraulic clutch kit was just installed on this TR6 as seen in the photos.
