1979 Triumph TR-7, 5 Speed, Orange
1979 Triumph TR7 Orange & Black
We hate to sell our fun little car but, we are downsizing . This unique car runs exceptionally well and has been a lot of fun for cruising throughout South Florida. We have owned this car for three years. It has both a hardandsoft top andis completely stock, down to the smog pump and catalytic convertor system. In our opinion, this car is what would be called a "Survivor". It has never been gutted and pieced together. It was originally a lady's car. There is no evidence of rustor collision repair. It has had one professional re-spray. There are some minor paint blemishes, due to use and enjoyment, but they are not obvious except one by the front nose decal. Somebody scratched itdeep, but it is still not that noticeable. There is also a ding under the front bumper on the orange part, just right of the center. The previous owner told us that he was selling the car because he hadknee surgery. He had loved the car and was reluctant to part with it. He did most all of this work with the exception of the carburetors. In many places, you can see the new parts, gaskets and things, but we do not have receipts for all of this.
The previous owner told me the history of the car. Hesaid that he replaced the speedometer because it broke. The new one currently shows 09427 for the mileage. You have to add 57,453 for the previous mileage according to the previous owner, to get the total sum of the car's mileage which is 66,880. The mileage is exempt on all cars of this age anyhow. The car also comes with many extra parts that we have accumulated, since we had planned on keeping the car for a long time andparts are getting hard to find for this car. These parts encompass some rubber bushings, rack and pinion bellows, engine bearings and gasketsand an oil pump. These engine parts are not needed, we just wanted to have them in case we ever had the pan off.
Here is a list of the repair work that has beendone by the previous owners and by us:
Within the last 10 years: Engine Top End and Complete Valve Job
Within the last5 years: New Soft Top, Carpet, Seat Covers, Paint, Shocks, Front Springs, Shifter Bushings, Radiator, WaterPump, Hoses, Fuel Pum, Carburetor Rebuilt, Alternator,Catalytic Convertor, Fuel Sending Unit and a Pertronix Electronic Ignition Kit.
Within the last 3 years (By Us): Installed Rebuilt A/C Compressor, New Dryer and System Flush, Master Cylinder & Brake Shoes, The A/C holds a charge and works.
We recommend that you comesee the car for yourself before bidding. It is an exceptional vehicle for it's price. If you buy it without seeing it and don't like the car when you pick up, we will let you out of the sale with no bad feedback. But you will of course lose your $250. deposit . We do not recommend that you fly in and drive it home. The tires are good but not new. Also we have only driven it 50 miles each way .You will be required to have your owninsurance for the new carbefore the car leaves here . There is no warranty due to its age. We also are advertising it locally. Therefor, if the car sells before the auction ends, we do reserve the right to end the auction early. If you like what you see, we feel confident that you will like it in person too. You may text Ray at 561 642-2345 or ask a question through EBAY.Texting may be faster. We are not always watching on our computers. Just being honest.
