Description:
1960 Triumph TR3
Car located in Bainbridge, Georgia, owned by a retired Air Force, flag rank, command pilot.Bought car in 2012 from Austin, Texas, and invested another $8K getting it ready for wife's surprise 72nd birthday (bought her first TR3A in 1961 when I was a lieutenant/B-47 pilot).Sadly, she experienced medical issues and was never able to drive the car.It has remained garaged, started and driven to local golf course once monthly.Although the car has not had a "ground-up" restoration, all body panels (front, hood, fenders, doors, and rear deck) were removed reattached with new "captured nuts" and some minor rust issues corrected---then repainted white.
Car features:
- negatively grounded
- great engine
- immediate start-up
- runs strong
- electronic ignition
- electric fuel pump with new tank sending unit
- carbs adjusted and synced
- two electric fans and new thermostat
- good interior, top and tires
- Side curtains, fair but usable
