1980 Triumph Spitfire

I'm listing my 1980 Triumph Spitfire 1500 Coupe Convertible. My loss your gain!!! Fun lil tootle around car in the summer.

This car is Original, Rare and Hard to find in the condition in which it sits. Needs TSC as it was purchased as a Resto. I was going to have it restored but I am now going thru a divorce. I am the third owner of this car, but I know the previous owners as they were both friends of the family. I bought the car three years ago, drove it around then parked it with expectations of Resto, but the car has ended up becoming a fixture in the machine shop. I also don’t like driving the car the mile to blacktop as I live in the country and the car is low profile.

This car is not in perfect condition but it runs and needs TSC. I have pictures of what it looks like cleaned up and of course the pictures I took of the car in the machine shop. I being a woman looked over the car carefully and pictures descript the way in which this car sits now. I noted the following:

-No Rust or if there is rust can’t see it

-No signs of damage except for minor dings and chips as noted with a car of this age.

-Original Paint and pin stripping (Brown with Red, White and Blue pin stripe) paint is dull but when waxed comes to life.

-Manual transmission, 4 speed with Reverse

-Original soft top which will need to be replaced as there are rips or tears in it

-Original hard top which is in good shape and pictured on the car in some pictures

-Interior is in good shape but door panels will need to be replaced

-1493 cc inline 4 engine which ran great when parked but will need a tune up or overhaul

-48,220 original miles

-Tires are not in good shape and so this car will need new tires.

Overall the car is in ORIGINAL AGED CONDITION, with TSC this car could be a show stopper. And for those that know and admire these cars know the price in which they sell for and they are inexpensive to restore.

This car is available for local pickup in Killdeer, North Dakota. I will require a $500 deposit to hold the car which will need to be made thru paypalimmediately followingauctions end.
