Work done by prior owner(s):
-The engine block was replaced with an early '70s part and has been bored .030" oversize
-The (original?) early cylinder head was milled approximately .100" for higher compression
Known issues:
-Original length pushrods remain installed with milled head, needs shortened pushrods and new adjusters for correct geometry
-Prior to my purchase the car was apparently hit from behind and pushed into something; there is evidence of damage inside boot and left front inner fender -- left front fender has probably been replaced -- probably when the repaint/color change was done
-I slid into an Armco barrier with the right front and damaged the front valance and right front fender -- probably more cost effective to replace parts
-The top cover is in decent shape but the internal webbing, side seals, and front seal are shot and need to be replaced -- parts included with sale
-The windscreen and windscreen frame seals are shot and need to be replaced -- water leaks into interior -- parts included with sale
-The original transmission and driveshaft covers are deteriorated and need to be replaced
-Side window guides are loose so that the windows rattle when the doors are closed
-Rust in the top rear of the left rear wing next to the boot lid
-Rust in the bottom front of the right rear wing next to rocker panel
-Front crankshaft seal leak
-Windshield wiper arm shaft bushings are shot
-No windshield washer system installed
-I broke the OBD diagnostic light when I installed the fuel injection - new light is available from AFI
Included with the car:
-TBI diagnostic cable (TBI system is supplied with three free chip upgrades which were never used)

This is one of the earliest production first-year TR6s you will find anywhere, and if I could, I would keep this car forever! I have had a wonderful time with this car and had no intention of ever selling it but my life situation has changed so you can have the benefit of my investments in time and money - lots of money. All of the mechanicals on this car have been upgraded with the best available parts. The Dupont T-5 conversion is widely regarded as the best transmission swap, and is no longer available - easily cruise all day at 75 mph on the highway! The Patton fuel injection/electronic ignition means no fiddling with carburetors or points, and it fires right up any time - even after sitting in the garage for a few weeks (it gets great mileage, too). The brand new GPS speedometer driver is fantastic; all the gear ratios have been changed, but the speedometer is accurate to within 1 mph! The car does need, and deserve, some good cosmetic work. I was told the car sat for 13 years prior to my purchase, and it shows - there are minor dents and scratches on the both the bonnet and boot. The top also needs some work, but I am including needed parts with the sale. I hope this car can find a home with someone who will love it as much as I have! The car is sold as-is where-is, but you could drive it to anywhere in the country with confidence.
