Description:

1978 Triumph TR 250

I'm listing this 1968 Triumph TR250 for a friend and a British car enthusiast since 1964 who has owned over 18 British cars and is now selling this sassy, rare, elegant car from his collection. I, as a car collector concur with the content of the owners description. The collector license plate stays with vehicle if sold within Washington state otherwise owner elects to keep the plate.

History and Description:

This nice close to original example of the Triumph TR250 is believed to have just three owners. The original woman buyer in Spokane, WA., the second owner was a British Car Club member then the third and current owner has owned it for 24 years. It has had one repaint with original factory white code 19 PPG Ditzler acrylic enamel around 1996 which is in very good condition with only a few minor scratches-paint has never been buffed, flashed off or waxed, only gently washed and dry secure stored. No body rust or putty before or after repainting. Never damaged. All original panels. No rust at rear trailing arms to frame. Frame was tested and is factory straight. Only rust was on floor pans with a few fine pin holes on drivers side, mostly surface rust and that was treated and painted early on. Always garaged. All dash instruments, knobs, cabin panels, bits are original. All exterior chrome and lamps are original with just some small pitting on some lamps and more golding and spidering on bumpers especially the rear. All running lights work.

NOTE:

Engine starts easily, drives nice and shifts well however its begun to miss-fire. May need tune up or more. Mileage is currently 123,537. No undue noises. (This car may benefit from driving).

EXTRA NOTES FROM OWNER:

All badges, lamps, chrome, cabin panels, instruments and knobs I believe to be original. Removing the vinyl cover revealed the factory original sewn leather steering wheel in good condition. I've had the pleasure of maintaining and preserving this car as close to original as possible. The car sits square and drives down the road straight and true.
