I purchased this cruiser a few years ago. it lived the last 20+ years as a plow truck at a home in Jamestown Colorado. The 40 has all original freeborn red paint and decals, originally out of Olathe Kansas. It has an amazing patina. When I bought it, the motor had a bad rod knock. I found a solid used 2F engine and had it swapped. Brand new Asin clutch, exhaust manifold gasket, rear main, water pump, fan clutch/fan, belts and coolant hoses.

It currently runs and drives but needs the carb rebuilt (won’t idle without the choke on). I have the correct rebuild kit for it as well.

It’s since been sitting on the side of my house. I had big plans of doing a patina build. I bought a complete rear sill (inner and outer) and both lower quarters. My plan was to section in the rear sheet metal and blend it into the original paint, 2.5“ lift some 33’s, give the interior some love and have a sweet original 40 that was a bit crusty with an awesome patina.

The rear sill and lower quarters are the worst of the rust, but there is other rust around the body as you can see. I just didn’t want any holes. The floors are all solid. The frame is also solid.

It will come with the replacement sheet metal, spare tire carrier, heater and piping (not sure why it was removed, maybe leaky heater core) and carb rebuild kit.

For an additional price I’ve got some different tires to choose from (KM2 or KO3’s) and some other oem goodies. Happy to discuss with serious buyers. I also have the heater assembly which was pulled for some reason, likely a leaking heater core.
