This 1994 Toyota Bandeirante OJ55 is a crew-cab pickup truck with a soft top that was originally produced for the Brazilian military forces and served the Brazilian Marine Corps. Only 1470 cars of this model were produced, and just under 500 were made in this specific configuration. The truck was purchased and refurbished in Brazil before being imported to the USAin December 2022 and has a clean California title.
The truck was fully restored and built from a bare shell. It was finished in Olive Green with a beige soft top over a black vinyl interior. The work during the renovation included painting, rust repairs, installation of a brand-new short bed, mechanical upgrades with the installation of a Garret turbocharger, cold air conditioning, and a new aftermarket wiring harness. LED headlights and Hella LED drive lights were also added.
This Toyota Bandeirante OJ55 is powered by a 3.7 Toyota 14Binline-four turbo diesel engine that is rated at approximately 120 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a Toyota H55F 5-speed manual transmission and a 2-speed OEM transfer case that was revised during the renovation.
The truck is equipped with all-new wheels and tires, with Pro Comp 69 Series Vintage Flat Black aluminum wheels wrapped in Maxxis AT285/75R16 tires. New brake components were installed along with disc brakes at the front and drums at the rear. New Cofap shock absorbers and new suspension bushings were also installed.
The three-spoke steering wheel sits in front of the body-colored dashboard that houses an instrument panel with a 160 km/h VDO speedometer and supplementary gauges for oil temperature, fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltmeter. There are also supplementary gauges such as a tachometer and an analog turbo pressure mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows a total of 24,249 kilometers(15,067 miles).
Black vinyl upholstery covers the front and rear seats, while body-colored floors and all-weather OM Toyota floor mats in the front complete the interior. The truck is equipped with folding windshields and removable roof and doors.
