Presenting a 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 in its original, code 153, Warm Gray Poly color, with factory 60 series chrome wheels. Odometer shows low mileage for its age, at only 165K miles.
After a very long term storage in California, vehicle was purchased and spent another several years in the dry desert environment of Nevada, before a frame on restoration was done over the past couple years.
The dry climate rust free body was subjected to a professional custom AkzoNobel Imperium paint job in its original color. The importance of a solid rust free base cannot be over emphasized in the long term longevity of a classic vehicle. You would be very hard pressed to obtain a rust free example as nice as this.
The Land Cruiser is powered by a 3FE FI 4.0L in-line 6 cylinder engine, heavy duty 4-speed A440F automatic transmission (commonly called "the bus transmission" due to its strength and size) and a dual-range transfer case, with manual locking factory Aisin front hubs.
The factory optional 60 series chrome wheels, with factory hubcaps, are shod with new mud terrain size 31 x 10.5 x 15LT tires. Still has the tire nibs.
The tan and brown interior enjoys a completely new carpet kit, from front to rear, as well as restored factory seats using Cruiser Corps custom vinyl and cloth upholstery. Dash is topped with a dash cap. Factory jack and tool kit hides in the back cargo compartment.
Factory power windows and door locks. Factory electric rear-view mirrors.
New replacement front windshield.
In the engine compartment is the original fuel injected 3FE engine, which has California spec'd emissions compliance. New water pump, belts, spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter and Interstate battery. A/C system received an R-134a conversion and charge last summer.
Front suspension has all new Japanese tie- rod ends and relay rods. FJ62 is equipped with a trailer hitch as well.
New muffler and tail pipe assembly. Fuel tank has a new fuel pump and sending unit installed.
Suspension and driveline greased, all fluids topped and replaced in brakes, differentials, and transfer-case. Transmission serviced with new filter and pan gasket.
Old school aftermarket stereo does not work, but the new owner will most likely want their own style stereo installed anyhow. Aftermarket stationary antenna.
