PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION
For sale is a 1986 Toyota Camry DLX sedan with just under 107,000 miles. The car was purchased new at Florin Road Toyota in Sacramento and has spent its entire life in the Sacramento-Yuba City area, and I’m the second owner, after I purchased it from a 92-year-old gentleman. I’ve given it all routine maintenance and addressed any and all mechanical issues. In the past year, the car has received the following:
08/07/2021 – New set of 185/70 R13 tires08/09/2021 – New muffler08/20/2021 – New struts & mounts08/20/2021 – New steering rack & alignment10/25/2021 – New head gasket & oil pan gasket10/25/2021 – New thermostat & spark plugs12/10/2021 – New A/C compressor with recharge12/10/2021 – New power steering pump08/27/2022 – New CV axle shaft09/03/2022 – New brake master cylinder with brakes bled
I’ve invested over $5,000 and have all the receipts and paperwork for the above which will be included with the car, as well as the original owner’s manual, vehicle financing documents from when it was purchased in 1986, and oil change receipts from the past year. It has a clean California title in my name and current registration through August 2023. It has what looks like a small oil leak behind the engine head, though no oil reaches the ground. Other than this, it needs absolutely nothing to be used as a daily driver. Everything works right down to the clock and radio. There are no tears in the seats or discoloration or cracks in the dash. Cosmetically the car is very clean with only small blemishes and scrapes from parking over the past 36 years, and some scuffs and wear on the front and rear rubber bumpers. The only notable body damage is a small dent on the passenger side rear corner under the taillight, though it’s not too noticeable. Additional photos can be provided upon request. The car isn’t perfect cosmetically, but it’s in excellent shape and it’ll be dependable and solid for many years with all the new parts and routine maintenance it’s received. I was hoping to keep and use this car for myself, but I have a baby on the way and need something larger and newer.
California buyers are responsible for smogging the car prior to registration. The car passed smog in August 2021, though in order to pass the next smog check, I recommend adjusting the ignition timing from 4 degrees to 10 degrees. I'm selling the car at a huge loss and do not wish to do this myself. Please keep this in mind.
