Vehicle Details

This truck underwent a full frame off restoration during 2010-2014. Repainted by Central Collision Center here in Tucson. Only about 30k miles on the rebuilt drivetrain. Has the following mods:

Drivetrain:

-22RE engine, bored 0.050”, new forged pistons, cam, crank bearings, SS valves from engnbldr.com

-OEM timing kit (chain, sprockets, tensioner), DOA Racing metal guides

-ARP head studs, OEM gaskets

-Upgraded “straight through” intake and throttle body from 1989 22RE

-LC Engineering ceramic coated header

-Block heater in front freeze plug

-3-row metal Modine radiator

-Custom stainless steel 2-1/4” exhaust, Magnaflow muffler, installed by Skips Exhaust in Plaistow NH

-Powdercoated valve cover & intake

-All ground wiring replaced/upgraded

-R151F “Turbo” transmission from 1986 truck, 23-spline output, fully rebuilt with Marlin kit

-Turbo AISIN clutch, matching flywheel

-Marlin Crawler 4.7:1 low-range gearset in transfer case

-First generation BudBuilt transmission crossmember with skidplate, hand-bent by Bud himself, provides 1” of drivetrain lift to match 1” body lift

-1” lift blocks on engine, gas tank raised 1-1/4”

-Brand new OEM fuel tank sending unit

Body Mods:

-Complete two stage paintjob from Central Collision Center here in Tucson, Az

-Zolatone lined bed

-Front bumper is from Front Range Off Road (no longer made), modified for 1” body lift, stiffened, modified/improved

-Warn HS9500 winch, synthetic winch line, relay box mounted under hood, upgraded with welding cables

- OEM dash switch, wired to be easily removed

-1” custom body lift, stainless steel bolts

-Energy Suspension poly body bushings under cab

-Side slider/steps homemade, 4 “legs” off the frame, welded on, non-slip grip tape applied

-Rear bumper homemade, 3/8” plate mounts to frame

-James Dean Creations decals

-Hella “E-code” headlights, 55/100W H4 halogen bulbs, custom made wire harness upgrade with relays so no voltage drop

-All other lighting changed to LEDs (except turn signal bulbs)

Suspension:

-Old Man Emu springs F&R, bushings, greaseable pins & shackles, steering stabilizer

-Bilstein 5100-series shocks

-Homemade front spring hanger with ¼” plating & gusseting, very strong

-Extra plating on frame for steering box, factory location

-BudBuilt draglink & tierod, FJ80-series OEM tie rod ends

-Pitman arm adapter for draglink from Sky Manufacturing

-Steering arms, U-bolt plates, front shock hoops from Sky Manufacturing

-Rear upper shock mount home made

-Custom re-tubed front driveshaft

-Tires are Goodyear Wrangler Duratraks, LT285/75R16 m on 16” 2000 4Runner wheels (including spare)

-Factory tool kit, jack, handle extension included

Front axle: Solid Axle Swap from a 1984 truck front axle

FZJ80-series front hi-pinion e-locker, 4.88:1 Yukon gears, solid spacer on pinion

1st gen “Longfield” CV axles, Marlin HD tube seals, AISIN hubs, 1-1/4” Spidertrax spacers

Rear axle: Tacoma TRD e-locker, 4.88:1 Yukon gears, solid spacer on pinion

Custom locker relay box under rear shelf in cab, toggle switches on dash with indicator lights

-Both actuators rebuilt & with all new O-rings & SS hardware

-Both axles have armor on the differential covers, made from 8” pipe caps, bottom drain plugs plated over

-Axle breathers extended to engine compartment

Brakes:

-Completely rebuilt, Nov. 2016

-Front brakes: FJ60-series vented rotors, V6 4Runner calipers, Hawk ceramic pads, braided stainless lines

-Rear brakes: Sky Manufacturing RDB brackets, Chevy ½-ton rotors, Monte Carlo calipers

-E-brake: All Pro Offroad transfer case disc brake

-Master cylinder & booster from 1995 4runner, 1” bore

-Wilwood manual proportioning valve
