Hello to all I am selling my extremely rare unicorn after owning it since 2008. Clean title in my name. It is a Factory 1985 Toyota 2.4L Turbo Diesel Pickup with a 5 spd manual transmission 4x4 solid front axle and 8ft bed NO A/C. As you can see it was just repainted at Like New Automotive in Fairfax VA and they did a fantastic job. Have additional pics of the entire process. I have all the documentaion on repairs and maintenance since 2005 including original Dealer invoice when first purchased in Idaho. The gentleman I purchased the truck from in 2008 from Washington State rebuilt the engine, turbo and transmission and have all sale reciepts for this. Done at 250,000 I believe. I bought the truck with 262,073 miles and have driven it 18,200 miles in the last14 years. Also comes with original owners manual and a few repair manuals as seen in pics. Extra turbo with install pieces, starter used but working, water pump, front axle rebuild kit, original hubcaps and a ton of extras see photos. Tires have been upgraded to Kumho Roadventure AT51 including spare. Rims are original as well. As you all know these trucks were subject to rusting easily, the front fenders are new as is the front bumper and new turn signals, the bed is off a 1988 pickup which came out of California. Windshield was removed duing the restoration all rust removed then resealed. Metal trim deleted. FRAME is in FANTASTIC shape. Has a 2" tow hitch, block heater and fuel rail heater (switch on inside), Methenol injection pump (that I never hooked up), 2 tow hooks on front and full size spare. Since I have owned it I had the Injection Pump rebuilt at United Diesel along with replacing the water pump, timing belt and new glow plugs, rebuilt the alternator at Arlington Armature. New belts, New Nappa batteries, New exhaust flex pipe. It does pass Virginia State Inspection. And those who are wondering, it does start, run and drive like an old diesel should. She does not like the cold. You won't win any races and I've had a grandma flick me off for not accelerating fast enough. Top speed comfotably at 55mph down hill 60. 4x4 with manual locking hubs works perfectly. It's like a mini tank in low gear. Interiorwise I paid a friend to install the carpet and he screwed up at the shifter Its not great and not bad either. Tear on the outer driver side seat and some holes on the dash. Has original bottle jack and tire iron in toyota bag.Since the bed came off a gas truck the original diesel nozzle doesn't fit so have to hold the pump when refueling. The actuator for the turbo has been disconnected, still runs fine without it. Been like that for years. Little bit of rust on the underside of the hood nothing horrible. Comes with new Emissions decals and Vacuum too. Has helper springs on the rear leaf springs. Still rides fine. Also a long time ago I had a WVO/Biodiesel auxillary tank in the bed, had a coolant bypass hooked up to it for heating up the Biodiesel. Controls for the setup are on the bottom left of the dash. Had a talking to by the police and told me that I could get fined for it so after running it for a few hundred miles I disconnected it Lines for the fuel and coolant are closed off tucked under the bed. Comes with all the parts for this setup. I've tried to be as tranparent as possible with this Toyota, sure there are things I missed. Keep in mind this is a 37 year old truck.
