1988 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4x4. 3.0 liter V-6. Automatic transmission. Power steering, power brakes, cruisecontrol, power windows, power mirrors, factory sunroof, and tilt wheel. Meticulous maintenance and repair history documented by over $10,000 dollars in receipts which are included with the sale. Nice color combo of black with red interior. The original paint shows well and is in very good condition. The interior is in near mint condition. Two inch receiver. Factory removable top and roll bar. The Falken tires are in good condition with at least 80% tread. The motor runs strong and transmission operates flawlessly. The steering is tight with no excessive play. The passenger side window is finicky and the switch should be replaced. The brakes and suspension are excellent.
Motor & Transmission- 60k miles on rebuilt motor. The transmission was recently replaced with a rebuilt unit. Fresh timing belt and water pump. New catalytic converter and Flowmaster muffler. New battery, starter, cold start sensor, and thermostat. Fresh complete service and tune up.
Brakes & Suspension- The complete brake system has been overhauled including new master cylinder, brake fluid flush, front calipers, front brake pads, rear wheel cylinder, rear brake shoes, front wheel bearings, and front & rear shocks. Both the rotors and drums were machined/turned at the time the brakes were replaced. The power steering pump was replaced with a remanufactured unit as well as new power steering hoses.
Paint & Body- The paint is all original with the exception of the left front fender being repainted in the past. There is some notable clear coat pealing on the left front fender. 100% rust free, no rust anywhere. The paint and body is in exceptional condition say for minor dings and imperfections highlighted in the pictures.
Interior- The seats, headliner, carpet, interior panels, and dash are in excellent condition and is a testament of how well the 4Runner has been taken care of over the years.New 6 inch touch screen CD player w/ remote, and Bluetooth.
The first generation 4Runners are becoming very collectable, with nice examples bringing a premium. Over all this is a very clean, reliable, well maintained and cared for first generation 4runner. The 4runner is mechanically sound and a very reliable daily driver. Clean, clear Washington title.
