Description:

1965 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45

Up for auction is a 1965 FJ45 short wheel base with removable top. This is known to be the rarest iteration of the 40 series sold in the US market. With a production run from mid-1964 to the end of 1965, limited numbers were brought to the US, and maybe only a handful are still on the road today. This FJ45 came to me via New Mexico where, to the best of my knowledge, it was used on a ranch in the Silver City area. Since taking ownership, I have completed a frame-off nut and bolt restoration with great attention to detail focused on producing an OEM quality restoration, if not better. I have a build thread on the popular Land Cruiser websiteih8mud.comdocumenting in detail the restoration process. The truck was completely gone through with every mechanical component either being rebuilt or replaced with new parts. The body and chassis were taken down to bare metal and repainted in period-correct Seminole Red. The original hardware (nuts, bolts, etc.) were all media blasted, then wire polished and finally plated in yellow zinc chromate to replicate the OEM appearance. The end result is a truck that looks and drives like the day it left the assembly line. I will be happy to discuss the restoration process in depth with potential buyers.

Also I can provide a link from my google photos gallery that has 200+ photos of the finished restoration and of the restoration process. eBay will not allow me to directly link it here so please message me and I will provide the link.
Thanks and good luck!JPhttps://www.preservationlandcruisers.com/
