1992 Toyota Supra Turbo

Up for bid is my 1992 Toyota Supra Turbo with targa top with just over 94,000 miles. It is Toyota Super Black with the 1991-1992 exclusive black accented shadow grey interior. I have owned the car since 2002 and it has been through various stages of refurbishment. Mostly, it has sat in a garage. I have driven it on occasion over the years but it has lately become a burden on me, therefore, it has come time for it to move on to someone who will give it the TLC it needs.
This car was actually originally auctioned in November last year on another collector car auction site, however, the buyer did not follow through on the sale. Therefore, I have placed it again here on eBay to SELL! More info can be found at that site which can probably be found with a quick Google search...
I cannot stress enough how IMPOSSIBLE it is to find a Supra like this; I have never seen another in person, only through those few who still have one through the SOGI site or on the various Supra-centric forums online. If you have been looking for an MK3 Supra like this one, NOW IS YOUR CHANCE!
This car includes almost all the options for that year including the TDSE security add-on, TEMS electronic suspension, and leather package (the black accented interior). It did not come the optional System 10 stereo system and currently has a custom stereo system with amplifier that works but also needs some help/replacement. I still own the original amplifier and also have an unknown condition option correct Toyota radio. See option list in the pictures.

I will also stress that this car needs some reconditioning. It starts, runs and drives well; no apparent turbo or head gasket problems, no coil pack issues. However, the valve seals are likely leaking evidenced by a cold smoky start-up. The R154 transmission mates to a fairly new OEM clutch, but has the 1-2 and 2-3 synchro issue common with the R154 causing a slight grinding on a fast shift. The brakes will likely need to be looked at; there is a fair amount of dragging and grinding due to sitting. The R12 A/C does not work. The wiring harness may require replacement; the auxiliary A/C fans do not work and the Supra previously had electric cooling fans that used switched power from the harness but they were removed to put back the original mechanical fan so the harness is cut from this deinstallation. The interior and exterior has light or moderate wear but overall not too bad for a 25+ year old car. The front seats have some wear but the rest of the interior is in decent to excellent condition for its age. There is a dent above the left front wheelwell and some exterior blemishes you can see in the pictures. There is also some scratches on the lower front lip. The car has also had some modifications over the years. The original owner told me the engine had a top end refresh adding a Greddy 1.2mm metal head gasket (which is unverified). I recently in the last 5 years have had the timing belt, some drive belts, valve cover gaskets and water pump replaced along a new thermostat and thermostat housing and had brake and clutch fluids flushed and replaced with RedLine fluid. The engine has Magnecor spark plug wires. The clutch is OEM Toyota with a Competition Clutch lightweight flywheel and a stainless steel fluid line. I have upgraded the alternator to a SupraStore high output alternator. I have replaced the original springs and struts with Eibach Springs and Tokico Illumina TEMS-compatible struts. I also installed a SupraSport short shifter but still have the original shifter. I have replaced some of the vacuum hoses with red silicone hoses and also the top coolant hose with a Samco red hose. The brake lines were replaced with stainless steel lines. The stock rear sway bar was replaced with a Suspension Techniques bar and adjustable end links. The brake pads are from EBC and the slotted rotors (I believe) are also from EBC, however those may need turning/replacement.
Included along with the actual Supra includes 2 sets of keys including the original and newer style remote, both paired with the TDSE system, and some Toyota original uncut keys including the special valet key along with the owner's and service manual. Also included are a couple of alternators including the original, option correct OEM stereo (unknown condition), color-correct center console, a Lexus GS300 throttle body to do the well-known MK3 TB/550cc injector mod, factory stereo and amplifier, and many other misc. bolts, gaskets, and miscellaneous parts. Also included is various promotional material I collected over the years of the 1992 Supra and the 1992 Toyota model year and some digital data I have also collected if buyer wants said data.
I am starting the bidding at just under what I was originally supposed to receive for the Supra in the other auction. Therefore, I believe this is a fair starting price.
Again, any questions, PLEASE ASK me before bidding!! After the last auction not being fulfilled, I want to make sure any potential bidder has all question answered about the Supra before they place a bid.
There are NO warranties associated with this auction, either express or implied. The car is offered STRICTLY AS-IS, WHERE-IS. Buyer is required to put a $1000 earnest deposit. Buyer will be required to complete the deal IN PERSON within the District of Columbia or vicinity at a bank issuing buyer's method of payment, a bank that disburses buyer's funds or a bank of seller's choosing. Final payment must in negotiable funds that can be verifiable by the bank where transaction will close. Buyer is entirely responsible for any and all pick-up/shipping costs. Car WILL NOT be released only until final auction price is made in full to the satisfaction of seller and title is duly signed to the actual buyer. Car will be released with no tags. Buyer will be required to pick up the car in person or to be picked up through their authorized towing/shipping company only after transaction has closed. Buyer agrees to sign a bill of sale and a general release of all claims and to meet all criteria above as a condition of this sale. Any failure by seller to perform any of the above will be considered a failed auction and may result in negative feedback.
