For Sale....1983 Toyota Mojave Special Edition ...1 of only 3500 units ever produced...based on the SR5 long bed sport truck it includes luxury standard equipment unavailable on any other Toyota truck such as the wheels, bronze-tinted glass, smooth chrome rear bumper...the Toyota badgeing has been left off for a smoother, sleeker appearance...the tie-down hooks on the bed have been removed as well as the logo on the tailgate and front fenders .... a locking fuel door was added as well ... this truck was available in two custom colors, beige and gold... these were not offered on any other vehicle besides this Special Edition.... it has a substantially upgraded interior with 'Mojave' monogram seats, carpeting on the floor, back panel and lower door panel... it has the original electronic tuning AM/FM multiplex radio/digital clock combo not found in any other Toyota vehicle ... with such a long list of extra equipment standard on the Mojave the only other options available are .... Cruise Control... Power Steering ... Tilt steering wheel ... Air Conditioning ... moonroof and color coordinated floor mats ... this truck came with all options except the moonroof and floormats ... it also has all of the standard SR5 equipment such as leather wrapped steering wheel, tachometer, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, battery voltage gauge ... it has a 2.4 liter 100 horsepower 130 ft lbs of torque engine and a 5-speed manual transmission .... 24 mpg city/32 mpg hwy .....in the photos is a page out of Hot Rod Magazine April 1983 where it was featured along with a copy of Toyota Motor Sales USA press release Feb 25 1983 ... also pictured are the original Owners Manual, Toyoguard papers and the original Toyoguard/Certified Toyota Quality stickers in the window from 1983 .... also pictured are the original Tool Kit and Jack ... this is a two owner truck with 174,081 original miles and the second owner purchasing it in 1985 when it had only 23,000 miles .... the tires on this truck have less than 500 miles on them ... the A/C blows COLD ... the heat is hot ... all the gauges work ... the Cruise Control even works perfectly ... as the pictures show the interior is spotless, there isn't a crack in the dash, not a burn or tear in the seats, the headliner and sun visors are perfect also ... this Special Edition Mojave starts on the first turn and it runs/drives excellent with zero issues .... someone has replaced the hood and it is painted the wrong color but other than a few minor cosmetic issues on the exterior this truck is in exceptional condition ... it's a VERY RARE piece as only 3500 were made so you can own something not too many people will ever have the opportunity to own.....I'm listing this 1983 Toyota Mojave Special Edition with NO RESERVE! .....
