1987 Toyota Corolla Sport GTS Hatchback 2-Door 1.6L One Owner
1987 Toyota Corolla GTS AE86
Yes, ne owner car with 14,500 miles and original paint. The car spent most of it's life in storage in California at a dealership andwas never registered until I brought it to North Carolina. This is a Power Steering, SD, C, ruise Control, ower Window Car. Very highly optioned and one of the last built.
As far as I can tell, ack in the 80s the dealer put a bunch of period TRD parts on it, ook it to the track, layed with it and then parked it. You can see where the decals were on the paint. The paint is 28 years old and has dings scrapes and small dents all over but still is in amazing condition overall. The keen eyed among you will notice that the decals are not original, ll decals had been removed when I bought it. I do haveNOS OEM door decals but not the tailgate ones.
Since then the car hasgota new exhaust system, ew wheels and tires and some interior and exteriorpieces that were missing. There was a bolt in cage fitted which I removed. The battery also leaked while it was being stored so the area under the battery trayhas beenrepainted. All the OEM panel VIN code decalsare in place which is so rare. I fitted a JDM rear bumperfor aesthetics but the original is included in the sale with the VIN code decal in place. I also fitted a JDM steering wheel.
I will work with overseas buyers if they want to organize a shipper.
A great investment!
Please do not bid if you cannot follow through with the purchase. This is a re-list due to buyer vanishing after placing his bid.

Q:
Hi would like to know if everything works on the car? How many miles did you put on the car? Thanks WayneSep-13-15
A: I have not recharged the AC yet and I am troubleshooting the Cruise. If the car sells for full price I will make sure both these items are addressed. I have driven the car for just over 100 miles, t felt like I was 19 again.Q:
Hi, ) Do you have the original wheels? If so, ould you post or send a few pictures of them? 2) It looks like there is some paint missing at the front of both front wheel arches. Please could you post/send some close ups of those and other paint issues? 3) Where the roll bar was bolted in, lease take some pictures of those areas inside the car. Are there visible holes in the carpets or interior trim? Thanks in advance. Rob Futcher rob.futcher@yahoo.comSep-12-15
A: Sorry, do not have the original wheels. The areas on the fenders had surface rust, hat you are seeing is where it was treated with POR15. The body has too many imperfections to take pictures of. A repaint would make it one of the best in the US but it is only original once. The holes are not visible from the inside as they are covered over with sound deadener and the interior carpet is new. If you look at the two pictures of the floor you can see the holes from the main hoop, hey are nice and clean and sealed. For extra detailing they could get rubber grommits. If you are really interested I would recommend you come and see it. Thanks for your interest.Q:
Hi. Great car! I have a couple questions. What TRD parts do you think had been installed back in the day? Did the roll cage leave any lasting marks or damage? Can you provide a full list of parts replaced or updated and what they were replaced with? What brand is the exhaust? Is it NOS? After sitting so long did the engine need any work or tuneup? Do you have the original wheels? Any video of the car starting up and running? Thanks for answering these questions as I am quite interested. Thanks Brian.Sep-12-15
A: TRD parts that I have spotted are: Springs and shocks, amber adjustment top mounts, ront shock tower brace, djustable pan hard rod, hort shift kit (I removed this but it comes with the car), ront sway bar (the rear also looks different) Also I think the LSD is TRD as you can hear a different mesh sound at a certain speed. The cage left clean holes which I sealed with sound deadener, here were no plates welded in place. Replacement parts were AC and Cruise Control under the hood only. (these had been removed). The rear seats and parcel shelf were missing on the inside. The exhaust is Magnaflow Cat, egan Stainless Exhaust and a Revotec Rear Muffler. The car was running when I got it. It runs and idles as it should. I know these cars very well, bought my first red over black one back in 1987 when I was 19 years old. I do not have any video. I am an older guy, osting pictures is as much as I have figured out. I hope I have given you enough information, othing substitutes seeing it for yourself if you are not too far away. Thanks for your interest.Q:
Is this car registered or titled? Can it be registered? What documents will be included with the sale?Sep-11-15
