4 Door DX Model which was Toyota's Luxury Version.
Needs: Steering Control Arms (I purchased left and right, they are an easy fix 6 bolts, easy out and in). They include all new bushings. Boxed OEM parts you will receive all parts needed.
If you Youtube "Tercel Control Arms Replacement", You will see the walkthrough. The left (driver side) front control arm is significantly rusted and pitted.
Also Needs Front Rotors/ Brakes. Included Are Boxed (OEM parts): Two front rotors, brake pads (semi metallic), and complete front brake pad assembly kit (spacers, springs,etc).
Suggest that you bleed all 4 brakes and replace brake fluid.
The car can be picked up and advisably driven for only a short distance locally to be fixed, however I highly suggest it be flat bedded to your location to be fully repaired and fixed, including an alignment after installing parts. It cannot be test driven (only started and idled), because of control arm.
The car starts up on a dime, engine is fine, trans strong. The repairs needed are cumulative rust and rotors warped from sitting for a very long time. There is only a concern and rust through issue with control arm. The rest of the car is fine and has minor surface rust, easily adressable.
Battery Good. Fluids fine, oil is clear.Car has never been in an accident.
Glass is 100%, no cracks or chips.
Paint has somewhat oxidized.
In pics, there are reflections that appear on sides of car as scratches, they are not. They are the cars side running lines.
The body is in good condition, as stated, could use a paint job (Mako?).
Left front driver window needs adjustment (opens only partially), I do not want to force it, as creating a broken window assembly (crank windows).
Tires have tread left, however they are over 4 years old, and I suggest replacing.They were sized up larger (one size), for more stability and traction. Fitament was authorized.
A/C Works Fine.
There is a small indent on right rear bumper, which is to the left and below DX symbol. Plastic needs to be "popped" out, can be done with heat gun, and is minor.
No oil or transmission leaks that I know of, last checked after long trips, no leaks were detected.
Car has been running on Castrol Semi Synthetic Oil 5 W/30.
It was compression tested approx 1 year ago, during tuneup at Toyota: Met all manufacturer limits.
Autocheck score is Above Average.
