The engine bay hasn't been detailed. It's original.
Equipped with the desirable 22-RE 4cylinder engine (first year engine was offered) and the last year of the straight axle front end.

Note the cosmoline in the engine compartment. The Toyota factory in Japan treated/sprayed this rust inhibitor to help preserve the parts during the their ocean voyage here. Many aircraft parts manufacturers still use this to protect everything from gears and sprockets to cylinder heads, so that theydon'toxidize before they are needed. It's great stuff!!!
