This is a very low-mileage, rust-free, one-owner (almost) vehicle. Following purchase in Denver, Colorado the vehicle was driven to Austin, Texas - where it currently resides. The restoration never happened and the vehicle has been stored in an HVAC controlled commercial warehouse since purchase. The vehicle was originally purchased new in Dallas, Texas and owned by the same family through late-2013, and then sold to one of their long-term employees. The second owner hardly drove the vehicle. Only 3,000 miles have been accrued since the end of first ownership and current ownership in Austin, Texas. When purchased, the Land Cruiser was in excellent mechanical condition and in even better condition now. With only 122,285 original miles...only minor repairs were needed; tires, wheels and a good clean-up. Upon arrival in Austin, the Land Cruiser was deposited at Charles Maund Toyota for a vehicle inspection (PPI) and oil/filter change. Later, the Land Cruiser passed State of Texas inspection and a new battery was installed by Covert Ford - March 2017. New Goodyear Wrangler tires and American Racing black steel wheels installed - December 2017. The Land Cruiser has not been driven since transfer to Austin and only shuttled to Maund Toyota and Covert Ford for service. The vehicle is being sold with clean title and zero accident history. Current CARFAX available for interested parties. The CARFAX is very complete and tracks the vehicle from original date of purchase, verifying service and mileage, through today. Unfortunately, very few service records were received with the Land Cruiser. However, all service was performed at Burt Toyota in Englewood, Colorado since purchase. Likely, the missing service records may be acquired through Burt Toyota. All existing service documents will be included with the vehicle. DRIVETRAIN This is a numbers matching vehicle based upon the service records. The engine and drivetrain appear in excellent condition based upon the PPI performed by Charles Maund Toyota and actual performance while driving from Denver to Austin. The FJ-62 doesn't burn any oil, have any weird noises, or jerky quirks. The drive shaft will require balancing for smooth speeds in the 70 MPH range. This is an inexpensive repair (+/- $350.00) including U-joints. I've owned five FJ-60/FJ-62 Land Cruisers, over 30+ years, and all have required drive shaft balancing. Recommend fluid and filter change even though the vehicle has been driven less than 20 miles since last fluid change and arrival in Austin, Texas. SUSPENSION The suspension appears stock - original OEM parts. Since the shocks/struts are original, recommend replacing all four shocks/struts and lubricating suspension points. Grease zerks are present, and functional, for full suspension lubrication. BRAKES The brakes appear stock - original OEM parts. The passenger side, front master cylinder, appears to be weeping. Master cylinder replacement should resolve the issue - inexpensive repair. Recommend brake bleed, pad check (front) and shoe check (rear) with master cylinder replacement. The existing vehicle service history shows the Land Cruiser's rotors, pads/shoes, and brake lines, were replaced at regular intervals. WHEELS/TIRES The stock wheels were bent from curb rash and discarded. New American Racing black AR767 (15 X 7) steel wheels were purchased and four new Goodyear Wrangler Authority A/T (31/10.50R15) mounted. New valve stems were installed too. The tires/wheels are brand new and have less than 5 miles on them. The original OEM Toyota chrome spare tire/wheel is included and mounted under the chassis. EXTERIOR The vehicle has never been in an accident per the previous owner and verified by CARFAX. The Land Cruiser presents the original Freeborn Red (3F4) paint. All glass has matching Toyota etched serial numbers present. All four electric windows function perfectly as do both mirrors. The vehicle has several hail stone dents on the hood and few on the roof. The roof has fewer dents than the hood. No hail dents are present on the sides of the Land Cruiser; however, there are numerous stone chips, scratches, and small dents. There are two large dents, approximately 2-in. and 5-in. (see images) on the passenger side rear corner. Also, the passenger side front fender has a dent/scrape and the light bezel is cracked. This damage was the result of the original owner's daughter(s) who drove this vehicle during college. The same holds true for the missing front bumper and the dented rear bumper. The passenger side of the front bumper was badly bent, removed, and discarded. The rear bumper is much better. Only the rubber end-caps were removed from the rear bumper and discarded. INTERIOR The interior is in very good condition. Only the driver's seat and dash have cracks. The remaining seats are all in excellent condition. The head liner is super clean and taught. There are no discernable odors or any signs of smoking or pets. The ash tray never held anything but spare change and shows as such. The rear carpet, in the hatch area, could be replaced but currently functional. The remaining carpet, front and rear passenger areas, are in very good condition. All four electric windows function perfectly as do both mirrors. Overall, the interior shows no signs of misuse. The complete tool kit, and jack, is present. The OEM radio is missing, replaced with an Alpine CD Changer unit with remote. ADDITIONAL REMARKS Will have the Land Cruiser inspected, prior to delivery, by the State of Texas even though the last inspection was less than 12 months ago. Recently noticed the driver's side low-beam head lamp is burned out. Will have head lamp replaced prior to pick-up. Also, the A/C is not blowing cold. The AC is cool but not ice-cold. A/C was ice-cold when transported from Denver. Will have A/C repaired this week, by Toyota Dealer using OEM Toyota parts, before delivery. The Land Cruiser is in excellent mechanical condition and can be used as a daily driver. Would not hesitate to jump in the Land Cruiser and drive anywhere in the United States with no preparation. However, happy to have any desired basic maintenance performed, after purchase and ahead of pick-up, should buyer desire driving the vehicle home.
