If you'd like to own a low mileage '85 Toyota Celica that's in beautiful original condition, AND for a down -to-earth no nonsense price, you would not easily find one to match mine., O, let me put it like this: If someone were to closely inspect this car for themselves, and then take it for a spin down the highway, I can't imagine why someone would decide not to buy it ( but this is only my opinion!). The original black paint is beautiful, the red interior is gorgeous and without a mark or flaw, all the operations and instruments work as they should, and this car is a dream to drive. Furthermore this Toyota has the original California plates that came with the car. And, for residents of this state, it has recently been smogged.
On the negative side, my Celica doesn't have the original wheels, and the radio is also not original (but the original radio is in the trunk). Also, on the driver's rear wheel opening there is a couple of little dings ( perhaps more noticeable in these pictures than when you actually look at that part of the car.) Personally I would just leave them be. But otherwise the body is perfect. Oh, and at the base of the door windows (on both sides) the hard plastic factory moldings have broken apart (again, visible in the pictures). Not to make light of this imperfection, but again I think it would be a mistake to do anything about it. It's a dry climate out here in California, and this tiny flawed detail comes with the territory.
Last word: If my circumstances were otherwise I would never sell this car.
