NO RESERVE!!! Up for auction is an all original first year 1985 Toyota MR2. In great shape. Full tune up, new plugs and wires, air filter, fluid change, new wiper blades, new tires&new brake pads all around. Runs strong! No warning lights on, but they all do work. In fact, every light on the car works! Photo of instrument cluster was taken with car running.
Runs and drives great. Still has factory radio with subwoofer under driver's seat. The dash speakers have been replaced (No modification to car's wiring) The original speakers, still in great shape, go to new owner. As does a new fuel filter.
Equipped with factory sunroof with factory Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Sunroof sun shade, splash guards and floor mats.
Exterior appears to be original paint, still in pretty good condition. Headlights go up and down as they should. Windshield wipers work and return to park properly. There is a couple of small dings in driver's door (visible in pics) and a little bit of rust showing behind rear tires. Easily repairable for a restoration. A few small spots in clear coat here and there, but for 33 year old paint, it looks pretty darn good! One headlight "Eyebrow" trim piece missing, one is cracked. (Very common for the early MR2's, you can get replacements here on eBay)
Interior is in great condition. No holes in leather wrapping on steering wheel. The sunroof doesn't leak a drop! Even smells good inside. There is a small, approx. quarter size crack on glove box lid, 1 small, 1/4" round, hole in passenger seat cushion, a 1" tear on passenger door panel and a small separation on driver's door panel near trim.
Glass is clean and clear with no damage. Rubber seals and weather stripping are all intact and in great shape.
Factory spare tire and jack kit looks to never have been touched! (Probably still filled with air from the 1980's!!!) Interior in really good, original condition. Wheels are in really good shape as well.
5 speed transmission with no slippage in all gears. All hood, fuel door and trunk releases work great!
