Vehicle Overview You are looking at a 1969 Toyota FJ40 with a full frame-up restoration in 2003. Disc brake conversion professionally installed in 2017 (including new brake lines, brake booster, etc). Stock F145 motor with 2F valve cover (to accommodate ease of oil changes). New battery, valve cover gasket, front and side engine gaskets, and 2f valve cover. Recent full service and carb tune (weber 2 barrel carb and air cleaner). Original 109,000 miles on motor and transmission (paperwork to match).Recent differential service. This vehicle has aftermarket, but period authentic front bucket seats, rear jump seats, original hard top and includes a Relik Garag Toyota factory soft top in khaki with complete bow system. Factory three speed manual transmission. Factory Toyota steel wheels in white with genuine chrome hubcaps and brand new m/t tires 350 miles on the tires as of this posting). 2.25 inch Fabtech lift kit gives it the perfect height for clearing obstacles on the trail but will still fit in a standard height garage for storage.
This is a long range model so it has factory gas tank (17gallon) under the passenger seat with an additional aft mounted 22 gallon tank giving the vehicle excellent range. Clocking an amazing (given the period) 13 mpg average between tanks (just over a 500 mile range). Additional factory hydraulic actuating 4wd system and aftermarket on-board air compression system are installed on the vehicle making this a bit of a rare bird. Factory WARN front mechanical lockers.
This vehicle was daily driven by the last owner and is in excellent condition with very low miles. The paint and body are in good condition with some light patina but no major rust spots of any kind. Can easily be taken to a factory show quality with minimum effort if that is your desire.
