Price: - Item location: Roanoke, Virginia, United States
Description:

1993 Toyota Land Cruiser

This bullet proof expedition rig is the result of a year-long, o compromises, rofessional conversion and upgrade by a Toyota Mechanic and Mechanical Engineer. It’s the ultimate go-anywhere rig designed to survive anything including the zombie apocalypse. The truck cruises comfortably down the highway at 80mph delivering 18-20mpg, nd handles anything from rock crawling to 24” of snow with ease. Although the odo shows 270k, he re-manufactured engine and transmission only have 10k miles since the conversion was completed in 2011.

Mechanical:

the venerable Detroit 6.5 liter Turbo Diesel Engine mated to a New Venture NV4500 5 speed heavy duty transmission, oyota transfer case, nd Toyota factory locking differentials, he truck delivers excellent power and torque, nd is unbeatable on and off road. The front axle has been rebuilt with Chrome-Moly axle shafts and CV joints (birfields). The TDI engine features fully mechanical injection (no computer or electronics), mechanical waste gate controller, ” exhaust, nd cold air intake through the Safari Snorkel. Cooling is handled by a custom aluminum radiator built by Be-Cool.

Tires and Suspension:

Old Man Emu 3" lift (850J, 63J springs), N73L, 74L shocks), nd adjustable panhard bars, long with extended rear sway bar mounts and extended bump stops. Tires are 315/75R-16 BFG MT KM2 mounted on factory Land Cruiser aluminum wheels.

Exterior:

An ARB front bumper provides protection and mounting for the Warn XD9000i winch. Custom tubular rock sliders are tight to the body lines to maintain ground clearance and welded to the frame for strength. The custom rear bumper is designed to maximize departure angle, nd features dual swing out carriers outfitted to mount a spare tire, erry can, i-Lift jack, nd radio antenna. The swing-out arms pivot on re-purposed Land Cruiser front axle spindles – they are massively strong and won’t sag regardless of what you hang on them - they also include a common locking point so you can further secure your rig with a pad lock. The rust free body still wears factory Toyota white paint, nd is in very good shape- holding a shine nicely.

Interior:

The well-appointed factory interior features gray leather seats still in very good condition, hird row seating, actory floor mats, rivacy glass, nd 6 speaker stereo. I did upgrade to a Scion head unit in order to provide the iPod connection. All factory gauges are wired and functioning and the AC blows ice cold. The sunroof, ll of the locks and windows work properly.

Accessories:

The truck still has the factory jack and tool kit. I am also including a hi-lift jack, omplete recovery kit, ire extinguisher, nd a custom made set of 4 snow chains.

Buyer is responsible for shipping, ut I will happily assist in meeting/coordinating the transport company on my end.
