1972 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 55 4x4. This rig has been built for reliability and longevity. When I found this truck it had been sitting for years, so everything has been gone through or replaced. It was my goal to build a rig that could carry me to Alaska fly fishing and back without any concerns (and of course with no time frame as they aren't rocket ships!) Here is the list:

If you know the FJ 55 at all, you are aware of how challenging the original parts are to obtain. I have tracked down parts from Australia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and in the US.

As I said in the beginning it was never my intention to sell this truck and I had been preparing for an overland trip along most of the PanAmerican Highway. A recent death in my family has caused my direction to change and for now I need to put that dream on hold.
I HAVE INVESTED OVER $35,000.00 IN THIS FJ55. For those of us who love them, its a small price to pay. However because they haven't gained the cult following the the 40 and 60 have enjoyed, I am realistic about the value and price point I expect to get.
