1971 FJ40 Land Cruiser with a Koenig Iron Works PTO winch

We need to make some financial changes in our house, so we have decided it is time for us to part with our FJ40. Overall, it is great! It does need some minor work, but nothing unusual for a 1970s vehicle. I have disclosed everything I know below.

Color: Blue and black

Odometer reads: 82980, but the speedometer cable needs to be replaced because it is too short since converting to a Chevy engine and 4 speed transmission.

Runs great!

Body:

-The body is very solid. The floor is rock solid.

-All metal is straight

-Late 1990s paint restoration; there is some bubbling in a couple of spots (see photos; I tried to capture everything)

Interior:

-New bucket seats with new 5 point harness seat belts

-Dash pad is crack and split free!

-Brand new jump seat seatbelts

-The rear jump seats need the cushions

Drivetrain:

-292 Chevrolet inline 6 cylinder

-4 speed Chevy transmission

-Stock Toyota transfer case

-Warn locking hubs

-Stock axles

-Stock brakes

-Trailblazers

-Steering stabilizer

-Stock drum brakes have been checked and adjusted; lots of life left (see pictures)

-Winch has been, lubed, tested, and respooled

-Brand new battery

- Brand newjumpseat seatbelts, but didn’t buy the cushions

-Put in the 5 point harnesses

I want to be as upfront and transparent as possible! I have disclosed everything I know about the truck.

The only issues I know about:

-The turn signal switch may need to be changes or there is a fuse issue

-Steering box in loose so it has play in the wheel

-The windshield wiper switch needs cleaning to get the wiper motor running

-The skid plates need to be reinstalled, but they are included

-Needs an emergency brake cable

-Needs a new radio installed to help you get your jam on

When the vehicle sits for a few days, it may need a little shot of starting fluid.I am sure it just needs some carburetionadjustment.
