1978 Toyota Hilux 20R 5 speed short bed. Odometer reads 47k but I assume 147k This is a neat lil truck that I bought at a estate sale, it is an original California truck and for its age is in real good complete condition. The family said that they had it painted baby blue when it was about 5 yrs old. (originally yellow) This is an excellent start for a restoration as it is all complete (Short Bed) and looks to have never had any major damage. The truck seems to run good ( Im sure will need a carburetor rebuild as it has been parked since 2014) does start up and not a smoker, clutch feels tight as does the power brakes and steering, there is a little tick cant tell if it is a lifter or exhaust leak. Front windshield is cracked all the rest of the glass is good and the dash pad is cracked, they had a cover glued to it but I removed it. Has original 14 inch rims and hubcaps with good matching tires, interior is as pictured, I did remove the headliner as it was sagging down. The only thing I seem to have found that don't work is the fuel gauge but that might start working in time lol. There are only two little rust spots I found and there are pictures of that. Please ask all questions before bidding as I am trying to describe this to the best of my knowledge and will answer all questions, I think it is a good lil runner but before driving it across the state I would definitely do some maintenance to be safe. The truck is sold as is where is. It has a clean California title on non op (no back fees) I will assist in shipping but it is at the new owners expense.
