1972 Land Cruiser FJ55 LandCruiser FJ 55 Original Window Sticker Service Records

Price: - Item location: Reno, Nevada, United States
Description:

1972 Toyota Land Cruiser

Up for auction is a unique 1972 Land Cruiser FJ55 4 door wagon.
Included is the original window sticker, original invoice and owner's manual, and every receipt/service record since original vehicle purchase on May 29, 1972.
Since December 8, 2014, this FJ has had $8,377.00 invested including:
- New headliner purchase and installation- New oil pan gasket, front crank seal, rear main seal, front cover gasket, side cover gasket, valve cover gasket.- New clutch.- Machined flywheel.- New transfer case seals, timing cover seals, and rear main seal.- New inner and outer tie rod ends- New front wheel bearings.- New rotor, cap, condenser and plugs.- New break shoes and machined drums.- New rear wheel cylinders.- New tires at 54,455 miles.- New hub caps.- New battery.- New V-Belt.- All new fluids.- New windshield.
I'm pretty sure the mileage is 155,000, but there is a large jump from February 23, 1983 (71,536 miles) to June 15, 1983 (101,403 miles). This is inconsistent with all other service odometer readings as there are 30,000 miles driven in less than 4 months...
The vehicle changed owners on May 5, 1986, at which time, the new owner kept a gas mileage log at every fill. (see picture of log book).
The vehicle originally had air conditioner, as you can see on the original window sticker, but the A/C has since been removed.
The hood was painted black due to one of the owners being a pilot and disliking the glare off of the original white hood. She had the gloss/glare removed by painting it flat black.
The cruiser fires right up first try every time. It has a push-button battery drain prevention mechanism, which is used when not being driven for long periods of time.
Rear window rolls up and down with speed.
Passenger side back seat window crank is missing. There is an after market crank for this window in the glove box.
Original jack assembly is included under front and rear seats (see pictures).
Original tool satchel is included, but they are not the original tools (see pictures).
Front seat has a few tears, but in overall good shape for an original.
Rear seat is in near mint condition.
The passenger side visor is missing, but included is a SOR replacement cover. I don't have the frame.
The rear view mirror is included, but not installed. The bracket is in place, but the mirror won't click into bracket.
The body is in overall good shape:- There are dents on the driver side rear panel and the passenger side front and rear panels.- There are four bolts in the passenger side rear panel for mounting a gas can.- One corner of the rear bumper is missing.- Floor boards are solid.- Roof is solid.
Please see pictures for interior and body shape. I've done my best to portray the vehicle. Please reach out with questions or to request other pictures.
This would make a great daily driver as-is or is the perfect candidate an original restore. It is in mechanically mint condition, but is showing some surface wear on the body and interior. I had planned to restore it myself, but am now simplifying my life and this didn't make the cut.
This is a good old fashioned auction with no reserve and a starting bid of $0.99.
The vehicle is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time if the cruiser sells.
Shipping: I will help with arrangements for shipping, but the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.
Happy Bidding!
