1991 Toyota MR2

Fresh rebuild on OEM CT26 turbocharger. Has 75,000miles on engine (JDM 3sgte engine using USA intake, computer, and turbo).
Factory 5 Speed manual transmission. Brand new clutch & pressure plate.
New brake pads. New brake master cylinder. Koni adjustable shocks. Later style tail lights. Stock air box still in place!
Speedometer drive is starting to fail (nylon gears) but this is one of the car's only faults.
Tires are in great condition. Fitted with Mazda RX7 wheels. New paint. Air Conditioner works well. Rear Trunk "Toyota" & Turbo" plastic script emblems are included, but not installed.
Includes spare tire and jack.
This is a true factory turbo car with a stock engine (except for EGR block-off plate).
This car is equipped with power steering and ABS - PLEASE NOTE; ABS system is *not* functional because rear right hub lacks ABS rotation sensor mounting hole. This hub would need to be replaced with a hub for ABS equipped MR2. Also the speedometer friction discs are wearing so the speedometer is not working perfectly but it is an easy repair that is not costly and we can work with you on getting these done as we negotiate.

We are probably the largest dealer of used MR2 Parts in the world. We have a 18000 square foot warehouse that is full of parts.We move a lot of cars through our facility parting them. We always keep our eye out for the nicer well optioned cars that have very good bodies and under carriages and we usually find less than a hand full of cars that meet those high standards. Those cars are set aside and we gather the parts to fix them and during the winter months when our parts business slows down we get to work restoring them as close to perfect as we possibly can. This was a unique situation. We had just acquired a 1991 mr2 that had been in an accident before this one and insurance totaled it. The car mashed in the right side and was totalled. It was a 75,000 mile car so we pulled the entire drive train out of it and installed that power plant with low miles and a meticulous record of maintenance and repairs that had been done to the donar car and it was incredibly maintained and was stored inside all its life. It was a shame to see it get taken off the road. So we did the next best thing. We used all its great parts to restore this one.
The car is fitted with all the top of the line upgrades for suspension and the RX-7 wheels and tires that are in great shape and are very light and made for performance. The cars body was in great shape but the clear coat was fading so we took it in and had our body guy do a top of the line paint job that really looks good. We used most of the interior parts from the 75K mile car in this one so that it would look great and it does. The exhaust is great with a freshly rebuilt factory turbo. There is nothing like the classic MR2 Turbo cars feeling when you are in the cock pit and decide to spool it up and raise the rpms up and the turbo spools up and you feel yourself getting pushed back into the seat more and more in each of the 5 speeds. The lightweight of the car allows for great handling with the equal weight distribution of a mid engine car headed through those curvy roads and the car feels like it is on rails. Please look at all the others and compare what you are getting. With our unique position of having so many good parts at our disposal we can put you in a factory correct car with the few top of the line additions that have been developed through the years to improve it.
