Toyota Corona
The engine is the stock 1.9L 4-cylinder and it runs very reliably. Easy to modify for more power if need be. I would leave the drivetrain as-is and concentrate on interior and exterior aesthetics. It is from out West, Nebraska, so the dust on it and in it have kept the body relatively dry. Rust on one lower quarter out back, but not the other side. The front has a dented fender, and rust at the bottom of the fender. You can see the factory red paintshowsthrough the hideous black spray can paint job it once had. This should tell you it is not full of bondo or major accidents. The front grill isdamaged, the front bumper, side marker light is falling out, and the chrome headlightsurroundmay need repair as well.
The transmission is the TOYOGLIDE automatic unit. Drive and talk on your phone without pretending you are so sporty and in need of a manual gearbox. Get in, turn the key, and with the occasional smack of the solenoid, it fires to life. Smooth running, it just sits at a nice idle, revs up, and does NOT billow white or black smoke.
The tires are brand new and have not been down the road or anywhere.
The car does not drive, as the brakes are not working. We can still get it transported for you and beat most or any prices. That will be up to the owner to ship it, or solicit our services for auto transport.
INTERIOR: factory old stuff. IT is dusty, has torn upholstery, no carpet, and the seats are barely bolted in since the carpet was removed and the floors cleaned up. They are factory and look clean! No pan replacement or patches, and it looks solid. The body has rust on trunk lid and a few other areas, but is by no means a rust bucket!
Dash iscracked, some lights work, some don't. The back seat was removed and things cleaned up behind it. The door cards are rotten and torn, but the windows do go up and down.
The car has been sitting for years. I would consider it a basket case needing complete restoration, or the minimal work, like brakes, to make it a driver. It does go into every gear and move under its own power.
When the engine is running, it leaks fuel at the metal line, we run it on anauxiliarytank since the gas tank is being treated with lacquer thinnerand stabil tocleanit out. We run a tiny plastic tank up front, and it gravity feeds to hear it run.
Ask questions, I'll answer. I work really hard to keep this perfect feedback after 12 years since ebay started. So work with me and I willworkwith you. I can't store it more than 15 days form auction end time.
I do not have a title, as in the state of Georgia we use a Registration and a Bill of Sale, both are current of which I have in my hand. It will transfer to any state and you get a title. Look it up.
