Rare 1983 TOYOTA LANDCRUISERHJ47DIESELTROOPCARRIER OR CREW CAB TRUCK for sale. i HAVE TWO TOPS FOR THIS CRUISER MAKING IT A TROOP CARRIER WAGON WITH A HARD TOP (* SEE PICTURES OR A SHORT TOP) MAKING IT A SWEET CREW CAB PICKUP. The VIN for this Landcruiser is HJ47023048 I had to put extra zeros above as it is a non USA landcruiser. The Mileage is 58,394 KM on the Dash but obviously being the 3rd owner it could be higher.

Turnpike touring and mountain climbing are all an average day's work for the Toyota Land Cruiser,a rugged, powerful, four-wheel-drive vehicle with good passenger and cargo carrying capacity. Riding comfort along paved highwaysis about as good as can be expected with springs, shocks and suspension designed and built for fording streams or traversing gullies.

nice front deer/ kangaroo catcher with fender and rocker protection, new window weather stripng, headliner, perfect seats front and rear with no rips, 99% rust free, very little patina. rare factory Toyota rims and OEM hub caps, nice raidial mud terrian tires, Tow hitch receiver, *** the much desired Australlian transmission with the ultra compound low granny first gear climbing. When in 4x4 low this cruiser can climb some steep hills! Cool 1983 aluminum dash plate. It even comes with 1960's classic surf racks.

I bought this amazing Landcruiser from a cool cat up in Santa Cruz mountains that put a lot of love, time and sweat equity into transforming this troop carrier into the cool crew cab truck that it is. He cut out the few areas of rust and welded in new metal, fabricated the bed rails, and repainted this cool cruiser. I have a bunch of the restoration pictures if you want to see the process. I wanted to keep this cruiser forever but driving it daily long distances for work was not working out, especially in freeway traffic so I bought a Mercedes Sprinter van. My Home Owners Association does not allow this extra vehicle in my driveway so here it is on EBAY for sale. I still have the original Troop carrier top that will go with the cruiser if the new buyer desires it. (cool zebra paint job, check the pictures)

I have a beautiful 1983 HJ45Toyota LandcruiserHJ47 Diesel Troopcarrier for sale. This this a great example of a Aussie Troopy modeled after the Akana mine trucks a very rare late model as this was only made until 1984. the original Toyota 2H six cylinderdieselengine(the 2H diesel was the bigger newer version), Rugged 4x4, power brakes, manual transmission with four speed, tires in great condition.
Overall thistruckis in EXCELLENT condition and I encourage a full inspection by the buyer. The truck starts right up, drives great, brakes correctly, drives straight and solid down the road with good power and keeps up with traffic on the freeway. It is also awesome off road!
The only bad that I know of is it does drip some oil. Quite common in older vehicles but I wanted to mention it.

These trucks are very solid and were made to go slow and steady straight up a mountain or through a river. This does have a nice stainless steel snorkel so you can take it through deep water.They were not made to go 80mph down the freeway or to handle like a race car so if you want those qualities then Id recommend buying a 2012 FJ. But if you want the most stylish/durable4x4truck built to drive to your Landcruiser club meetings, or have people wave, stare and ask what kind of truck it is then Id say buy a HJ47 Troopcarrier. They are very easy to work on and use many of thesame parts as the common FJ40s. The only difference from the FJ40 is the extended chassis and thediesel engine. The truck will be sold with a clean California title. It DOES NOT need to be smogged in California because its exempt being a 1983 diesel. The truck is right hand drive which is completely legal and very easy to get used to, it took me 5 minutes to learn, its great for checking the waves!
