This is a very nicely restored 1980 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. Not a pure original restoration, ut all modifications are relatively simple bolt on/off for those who may wish to go to full original style. Modifications include aftermarket wheels (Blackrock), orbeau seats with Corbeau manufactured sliders to fit direct bolt in to floor pan (original seats can be sourced and bolted directly in if desired). ARB bumper. Stock engine rebuilt, ith all new major wear internals, earings, ew valve train, uides, ew cam, istons, ings, ew oil pump, nd all new gaskets and seals throughout. New clutch, hrowout bearing, nd pressure plate, nd new clutch slave cylinder.
Other items include Alpine stereo with aux input, nd Rockford Fosgate marine grade speakers (for top down running that might catch you out in a rainstorm). Tuffy center console with cupholders, nd also overhead tray console for minor storage items. New carpet set from SOR, nd rear pad underlayment.
Vehicle was dissassembled to frame, andblasted and painted with POR 15 chassis paint. Main body repairs all with full metal replacements where necessary, repped with all PPG products, poxy primer, nd base coat clear coat. Color code is stock original Sky Blue.
No power steering or air conditioning. Odometer indicates 117,000 (approx) and I have no knowledge of any accuracy, hough the speedometer is still functional.
On a general note for those not entirely familiar with FJ40s, his is a 1980 vehicle, hich of course is in the range of several major modifications relative to the FJ40 lineage from 1979 to 1984. In particular this model range has the gas tank under the body instead of directly under the seat (interior), he 4 speed on the floor transmission, ront disc brakes, nd higher final drive gear ratio, long with some fairly minor costmetics (square front bezel in particular). I will not bash any FJ40s, uz they are all fantastic, ut many consider this later model range to be the most desirable for the details outlined.
