1979 Toyota Land Cruiser

I am putting my dune beige 1979 (February 1979, anufacture date) FJ40 up for sale. It was delivered to California, here it had spent most of its life, efore I bought it and had it shipped to Virginia. It has the original 2F motor, till with all smog equipment, he stock 4 speed transmission and transfer case. Transmission and transfer case shift smoothly. It is currently showing 61,047 miles on the odometer, hich will be increasing slightly as I do drive the vehicle weekly to keep it in good shape. TEQ tool bag with tools as well as jack and jack accessories are still in place and included. The odometer works as does the speedometer and all gauges, orn, ights, urn signals, azards, ash light, auge lights, everse lights, nd interior light. The paint on this 40 is original, t is not a restoration. The interior is in near perfect shape, o rips or tears in upholstery and dash pads all in good shape. The Warn 8274 on the front bumper works and has a wired remote with carrying bag.

In the past 6 months I have replaced the battery, oil, lug wires, lugs, uel pump, ntake/exhaust manifold gasket (remfelx) and in September 2015 Mark at Mark’s Off Road rebuilt the factory Aisin carb, nd it was installed. Mark is one of the best rebuilders for these stockcarburetors and the truck starts, dles, nd runs smoothly. All filters havebeen changed as needed. It sits on stock Toyota steelies, ith hubcaps, bought new and sanded and painted, as 33x10.50R15 BFGoodrich A/T tires I put on about a year ago and have approximately 1,500 miles on them. The spare is an exact match of the other four tires and wheels, ll bought at the same time, ever used. The 40 has a new HFS 4” lift kit withgrease-ableshackles, ew shocks and rubber bushings. The truck has aftermarket (nonToyota) power steering and steers and stops straight. Being a California truck most of its life this 40 is 99% rust free. Two things to bring to your attention: The driver’s side floor board has two small rust spots under the floor mat, will include a pic, nd it needs a head liner.

Clean and clear VA title is in my name and ready to be transferred to the new owner.

I am selling because I took a very nice promotion in June that has me traveling more and leaves me with little to no time to drive and tinker with this 40, hich is why I bought it. I would rather sell it, han have it sit in storage. I will be out of town March 17-20, raveling for work.

Shipping will be at the sole expense of the buyer, will be there to help load the truck on to whatever transport youarrange.
