Selling my 1987 Suzuki Samurai. I had purchased this to turn into my hunting buggy down here in Texas, but after not having any extra time this past year, I'm wanting to move on from it. It has a blue bonded Texas title in my name. I will also be including a ton of extra Samurai parts including a custom steel dash, electronic power steering setup and other miscellaneous items.Here is a little run down on what it has:-1.6 16 valve MPI engine swap out of a Suzuki Sidekick.-New timing belt/water pump.-New thermostat and thermostat gaskets.-GM alternator conversion.-Optima Battery.-Trail Gear optima battery box.-Custom front bumper with wired in and functioning turn and illumination lights.-Grill mounted LED light (I have not had time to hook this up yet).-Hood mounted high lift jack.-Spring over lift with shackles (around 5 inches of lift).-33x12.50 BFG Mud Terrain tires.-15x8 steel wheels.-2" wheel spacers all the way around.-Extended differential, transfer case and transmission breathers.-New Dodge Caravan seats, these fold down flat to the front to gain access to the bed area.-Replaced top with newer but used piece.-Replaced clutch with a Centerforce Dual Friction.-Replaced flywheel.-Aluminum radiator.-Upgraded LED headlights.-Silicone hoses.-Trail Gear high steer.-As far as I know, it has stock gearing.Samurai needs some work before being turned into a daily driver, the large spring shackles make for a stiff ride along with an increased castor angle. I have not gone through all the night time and safety lights since I never anticipated to use this on the road.The good:-Starts up everytime.-Has a lot of good parts.-Rust is minimal, central Texas cars don't see a lot of rot.-Runs, stops and goes.-No significant drivetrain noises, everything works as it should.The bad:-Brakes work fine, but I would do a 4 wheel brake service, the front rotors have some uneven wear on them.-Recommended to replace the IAC valve, this is the cold start valve that is known to give these 16 valve engines a high initial cold start. Once it warms up, it is fine.-I would swap to stainless steel extended brake lines.-Broken bolt on one of the transfer case mounts.-Rear wheel well tubs are hammered out in the bed area, my guess was for someone to fit something larger in the back.I have described this vehicle to the best of my knowledge, this is almost a 40 year old vehicle.
