1987 Suzuki Samurai

Up for auction is a fresh build, garage kept, turn-key, functionally modified 1987 Suzuki Samurai. This vehicle was purchased from an acquaintance, who, when nearing completion of this project, needed funds to purchase some real estate.Being a Samurai enthusiast, I gladly purchased it from him, and then with a vision for it, and a better attention to detail, have completed it to my satisfaction. Based on what he had started with (could have used a better donor body), it turned out very well.Only a few minor deficiencies remain - a small out-dent on the hood from closing it down onto a tool, he repaired instead of replacing some body parts prior to paint, and kept the rear drum brakes in lieu of a rear disc conversion. Really the only parts that are not brand new, or not refurbished or reconditioned (though were rebuilt in the past) are the transfer case w/skid plate, the engine, and transmission, which were minimally used previously in another vehicle. 6.5:1 Trail Gear Trail Creeper T-case gears in stock case with Evil Twin dual shift Levers (True 2 & 4 wheel drive, high & low) held within HD brackets and Calmini Gripper II t-case cradle with poly bushings

Reconditioned axle housings, trussed, differential guards, totally rebuilt with all new bearings, seals, related hardware & Trail Gear rock rings, custom lower shock mounts

Differentials have 5:13 gears, Lock Rite front locker, Trail Gear rear mini spool

Trail Gear front chromoly Double Tough axles, OEM Aisin front locking hubs

Modified/reinforced frame cross member to fit ZOR extended front driveshaft with ½ ton u-joints

OEM rebuilt rear driveshaft with extended slip yoke & 2” spacer
