1970 Subaru 360

I have been meticulously restoring my low mileage, rust free 1970 Subaru for the last 18 months but a situation has come up and I won't be able to finish it. I have completed 100% of the driveline and mechanicals to a very high standard. It runs and drives beautifully. All that remains to do is the paint and upholstery. Here's a list of the work completed. I have receipts for all parts and services performed.
Engine: complete rebuild including new Wiseco pistons, rings, wrist pins, needle bearings / barrels professionally rebored by Millenium Technologies / all new gaskets and seals / resurfaced flywheel / tinware stripped, etched primed, painted in spray booth (no rattle can) to factory Fuji Green / rebuilt oil pump / rebuilt carburetor including manual fuel shut-off, urethane fuel line / new OEM air filter / rebuilt distributor with new points, condensor, cap, rotor, plugs and wires
Transmission: 4 speed gearbox (3speed + OT) internals in excellent condition, only needed cleaning with all new gaskets and seals / new shift lever bushes / both halfshafts rebuilt with new grease, seals and boots / clutch plate relined by Industrial Brake and Clutch / pressure plate resurfaced / new throwout bearing
Brakes: rebuilt master and wheel cylinders, 4X cylinders resleeved by Apple Hydraulics / 4X new flex brake lines / shoes relined by Industrial Brake and Clutch / NOS factory parking brake cables
Electrics: everything works / all wiring inspected with most connections replaced / all work properly soldered with heat shrink tubing / new fuse block / generator replaced with Brillman alternator / new headlights, sockets and bulbs / custom battery disconnect switch / new battery and cable
Body: 95% of bodywork completed, Note: areas that are gray primed have all been sanded, etch primed, metal-worked, smoothed to 320grit and are ready for final blocking and topcoat, in other words...they're not just rattle canned with primer to hide things / the two doors are all that remain to do and they are in excellent shape to begin with / lock cylinders professionally rebuilt so ignition, entry door and fuel door are keyed alike / all glass very good condition / bonnet and trunk both have working latches and prop up stays / headlight surrounds are not original flimsy plastic but high quality Japanese-made heavy duty fiberglass / bumpers bead blasted, etch primed and painted in booth with BASF acrylic enamel / original jack and lug wrench / original spare tire
Chassis: all wheel bearings were like new on this ultra low miles car / all bearings cleaned and repacked / new seals / floorpan had only slight surface rust which was removed, etch primed and topped with premium undercoating / shock absorbers functioned like new so the paint was stripped, etch primed and repainted / steering rack was like new so cleaned and repacked with grease, new boots / fuel tank was rust free and is in excellent condition
Wheels: rims bead blasted, etch primed and painted in booth with BASF acrylic enamel, new lug nuts, new inner tubes and premium Falken 145/80 tires, Made in Japan
Interior: needs upholstery / original full coverage rubber floor mats in excellent condition / headliner very good condition / needs dashpad and underdash storage tray repair / new 3 point retractable seat belts
I will assist the new owner with shipping but I would prefer it if they could pick it up in person so that I could spend some time to orient them on every aspect of the restoration. However, if that's not possible, I would make myself available for phone calls / FaceTime and texts post purchase. Inspections are welcomed! $500 deposit due within 24 hours of winning bid. Check or money order for the balance is fine but must clear before pick up. Please ask questions. This is a great little car!
